Joyous Vagaries recently took an 8-day fall foliage trip to parts of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, staying at Wilderness Edge Campground in Millinocket, Maine, Dolly Copp Campground in Gorham, New Hampshire, and Moosalamoo Campground in Salisbury, VT.
Visits included, but not limited to, Baxter State Park, Appalachian Trail Café in Millinocket, Maine, Quill Hill, Kancamagus Highway, Crawford Notch, Franconia Notch, Tuckerman Brewing Company in Conway, NH, Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, and Mt. Mansfield.
The key to enjoying the foliage, mountain views, river views, and waterfalls without the plethora of “leaf peepers” is to get out early in the morning before the crowds appear.
Overall, this was an enjoyable fall foliage trip.
