Truro to North Sydney

Our journey to Newfoundland has begun with two stopovers; the first was in Truro, Nova Scotia for a night, then another one night stopover in North Sydney before getting on the ferry that will take us to Channel-Port aux Basques.

Since it was only a few hours’ drive to reach the next motel in North Sydney, we decided to take a bit of a drive along the Cabot Trail.

The early morning in Truro started out with fog, and temps in the 50’s, but it wasn’t long before the sun started to shine during the drive. By mid-afternoon, the rain came in, which is expected to last into the late night hours.

Below are some of the images we captured along our drive.

  • Hey girls. This is Bibiana and Danny. We met on the Ferry. Hope you are enjoying this beautiful place as us. Well the airbnb in Burnt island was very nice.. clean and big space..quiet neighborhood. You will like it. No many restaurants so we had to bring food.

If you are visiting Trout river at Tablelands come to the restaurant Seaside..this is a small fisher town next to the ocean. Food here was delicious! Bye girls and enjoy.

    • Hi Bibiana and Danny. It was lovely to meet you!! Yes, we are enjoying Newfoundland very much. We were in Trout River, but didn’t get to stop in at the Seaside. We will be heading to St. Anthony area soon. Thanks for the info about Burnt Island!
