A longer hike from the previous day of the NOBO LASH, this 10.2-mile section of trail spans between Peters Mountain Rd (PA 225) and Clarks Valley Rd (PA325). The hike started with overcast skies, temps in the upper 30’s, and a bit of a breeze. Forecast for the day was to be cloudy, with a very slight chance of rain at mid-day. What was experienced during this hike? Several occasions of sleet, a few instances of ‘snow spit’, and 5 minutes of sun.
This section of trail had a few good views along the way, and one shelter (Peters Mountain Shelter). Only one hiker was seen along the way, headed SOBO, toward the end of the hike.
Despite the chilly temps and occasional sleet, this hike was enjoyable, despite the increase in rocks one must navigate going down hill!
