Irish Loop / Salmonier Nature Park

Our last stop along the Irish Loop was at Salmonier Nature Park, located in Holyrood, NL, where the facility cares for animals that can no longer survive in the wild.  We took the 3 km boardwalk loop trail to see these animals.  Most were not in sight when we were there, but it was a very enjoyable nature walk, nonetheless.  We found it worth the time.  Donations are greatly appreciated, so they can continue this very valuable work.

Our day ended with our third attempt to visit Quidi Vidi Brewery.  Once again, were not able to find parking, and it was raining quite heavily, so we gave up the ghost and moved on to our lodging destination in Flatrock, NL.  We did, however, make a stop at the Quidi Vidi Brewery Hops Shop in St. John’s the next day to buy a couple of cans of their Iceberg Beer, some glassware, and a Quidi Vidi Tee-Shirt.  So, all was not lost!  If you are lucky enough to be in Quidi Vidi, and you can find parking, it is a quaint little village worth a visit.

Below arte some images and video’s we captured at Salmonier Nature Park:
