Our journey through New Brunswick was punctuated by a perfect evening attending Ballet By The Ocean, which was performed by students from the Atlantic Ballet. Prior to the start of the Ballet, we experienced a three-course food tasting from Atelier Tony, a local restaurant in Dieppe, New Brunswick. All of the prepared food from this restaurant is sourced from local growers. Each course was nothing short of delicious, and portioned appropriately. We also sampled some local red and white wines from Magnetic Winery both of which were quite pleasing to the palate. In addition, we were treated to an amazing and lovely piece of art by local artist, Brandon Mitchell, who created the Welcome sign which we saw at the Cabin on the property.
Overall, the blending of the environment, food, wine, and performance from some very talented artists made for a wonderful evening.
From here, we moved on to Nova Scotia where we stayed at Salsman Provincial Park for one night. This is a wonderful park that is several miles from the ‘beaten path’. Our site provided us with some much-needed peace and quiet, as well as a gorgeous sunset.
Next up: taking the Ferry to Argentia, Newfoundland, where we begin the next leg of our journey.
