Today’s joyous vagary was another day of fat tire bike riding at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. The weather was perfect – AGAIN! It was sunny, there was a light breeze, and temps in the upper 70’s – low 80’s.
The trails ridden on this day were Mile Bridge Road (where the ride began), Two Mile Meadow Road, Barn Meadow Road, which are on the west side of Charlotte Road. Crossing Charlotte Road, the ride continued on Howard Mill Road, Moosehorn Ridge Road, and Snare Meadow Road. These roads are also gravel forest service-type roads.
All in all, the total miles ridden were 17.4 miles according to the MapMyRide app (there is another .8 miles not clocked on the app because someone forgot to start the app in time!) The bike odometer on both bikes indicated 16.4 miles were ridden. This is where one might mock the flawed technology…
Head to the Flora Gallery to see images of the various plants seen along the way during our joyous vagaries.
